Castle Rock in the state of Colorado is a fast growing community in the Douglas County with an estimated population of about 44,369 residents according to the 2008 census. It is named for the famous castle tower-shaped hill located close to the center of the town. The city is a part of Colorado's Front Range Urban Corridor. It is approximately 28 miles south of the state’s capital, Denver and about 37 miles north of Colorado Springs.
